In those early days, we were no strangers to the recruitment world, having navigated its complexities within various agencies. It became abundantly clear to us that something crucial was missing—a vital element that we believed should be at the heart of every recruitment agency: care coupled with attention to detail. Witnessing relationships between candidates and clients being tarnished due to deception saddened us, and it motivated us to take matters into our own hands.
Thus, Secure & Recruit was born in 2018, born from a desire to foster genuine relationships and infuse transparency and honesty into an industry that demanded it. We knew that recruiting the right way would not only ensure our success but also forge enduring partnerships with our clients.
Over the years, we faced numerous challenges, one of the most persistent being dishonesty in the industry. While others took shortcuts, we stayed committed to a thorough and respectful approach. Our candidates are more than just CVs to us; they are individuals with unique aspirations and stories. We made it a practice to have meaningful conversations before presenting their information to potential employers, respecting their privacy and ensuring that the match was right.
In the whirlwind-paced recruitment industry, we recognised a growing need for experienced and qualified professionals, particularly in the engineering domain. This realisation led us to collaborate with the Elevation Training Academy, where we support apprentices at the start of their professional journey. This partnership isn’t just about business; it’s about investing in the fire and security industry’s future, nurturing the next generation of engineers.
Our commitment to ethical recruitment practices and dedication to our clients started to bear fruit early on. In our initial two months, we secured our first national client, a monumental achievement that set the pace for the years to come. Our partnership with them has flourished, and we have successfully placed over a hundred skilled professionals within their organisation.
But success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about triumphing over challenges. When faced with a client’s 16 demanding vacancies, we rose to the occasion, filling 12 of them and achieving an impressive 85% conversion rate. Even when the client decided to go exclusive with another agency, they soon returned to us due to the unparalleled support and results we consistently deliver.
